Fabric & finishes prep

Inside and outside works, properly joined up

Internal and external build work shapes how the building looks, performs, and feels to live in. COLESCRETE coordinates both sides of the wall to ensure the job is done right.

Overview

Homes fail when internal and external works are treated as separate jobs. We handle the fabric that sits between structure and decoration: openings, insulation, plaster and render, and the detailing that keeps weather out and rooms ready for kitchens, bathrooms, and paint.

Scope

What this covers

  • Window and door openings, fitting coordination and making good
  • External render, pointing, cladding interfaces and weatherproofing
  • Internal plastering, boarding and surface preparation
  • Insulation and airtightness details where specified
  • First-fix and second-fix coordination with other trades
  • Stairs, joinery interfaces and threshold details
  • External repairs, crack stitching and fabric remediation
  • Protection of finished areas while other works continue

Our approach

How we look after internal & external

We sequence exterior protection and interior readiness together. That means windows and weatherproofing are not an afterthought, plaster is timed around services, and thresholds between house and garden or driveway are designed rather than patched. You get a fabric that is ready for decoration and fit-out, not a list of unfinished interfaces.

  • Internal and external works run as one plan
  • Fewer leaks, cold spots, and unfinished junctions
  • Surfaces ready for decoration and room fit-outs
  • Less rework when kitchens, bathrooms, or landscaping follow

In detail

What good looks like on this work

01

External fabric

Elevations are finished for durability and appearance: render, pointing, seals around openings, and details that shed water. We leave a clean face for decoration or cladding, not a patchwork of temporary fixes.

02

Internal readiness

Boarding, plaster, and making good are programmed around plumbing and electrics so kitchens and bathrooms install into true, dry surfaces. Corners, reveals, and junctions are prepared for a proper decorative finish.

03

Joining indoors to outdoors

Door thresholds, patio levels, and drainage falls are checked so rain does not track inside and outdoor paving meets the building cleanly. Small details here save large snag lists later.
